Rankin House – Affordable Self-catering accommodation, Kilmarnock near Glasgow

Sleeps 5/6, two twin rooms, one room with extra long & wide single bed and a sofa bed in the living room.

The most versatile property, known as Rankin House, is a spacious 3 bedroom self-catering holiday home in Kilmarnock. With its easy access to the A77 to Glasgow, it provides great value accommodation for large families; the perfect getaway for friends on a tight budget or concerts at Rugby Park; and a convenient and comfortable stop for professionals or contractors working in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Glasgow or Lanarkshire.

In the modern fitted kitchen, there is a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, electric cooker, and microwave as well as a dining table to seat six.  The large lounge has a  dining table for 6, a television, sofas (including a double sofa bed) and armchairs as well as a selection of books. The lounge has two large south facing picture windows which look over the private garden and to the lovely green  Ayrshire countryside beyond making it a bright, warm room.

There are three comfortable bedrooms upstairs – two twins and one with an extra long (6ft 6ins) wide single bed.  If needed, there is a sofa bed in the lounge.

Outside there is a patio garden.  With picnic table and benches. The driveway has space for one car, and the adjacent private car park is large enough to house 5 cars or 4 large vans, making the house ideal accommodation for visiting contractors.

There is a convenience store 200 yards from the house on Lindsey Drive.

Rankin House is just 5 minutes from the A77, providing easy access to Ayr (20 minutes), Irvine (20 minutes),  Lanark(40 minutes), Glasgow city centre (40 minutes), on to Edinburgh in (1 ½ hour).  A few minutes’ walks away is a bus stop with regular links to Kilmarnock centre (15 mins).
